About AdChem, Inc.

AdChem's core business is the manufacture, overhaul and distribution of non-metallic and metal components. We specialize using adhesives, chemicals, composites and related items for aircraft engine manufacturing and repair.

Our metal processing department can produce metal assemblies, cases, and work on projects that require welding, large machining, 4- axis machining and waterjet cutting. We have a sheet metal cell that produces vanes, brackets, shrouds, and many other metal components.

Our scanning CMM allows us to inspect parts much faster than traditional point to point technology and we can also reverse engineer molds, components and many intricate assemblies. We routinely perform this service for Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Sikorsky, tooling houses and many overhaul facilities.

AdChem is ISO90-2000 registered, AS9100 compliant, and FAA/JAA certified. We have a full in-house testing facility that includes a large scanning CMM, which is capable of supplying an AutoCAD file from any part configuration. With both Silicone and Polyurethane clean rooms, full tool toom and design capabilities, we perform rubber to metal bonding, welding and application of many specialty coatings.

Our internal systems incorporate a fully traceable bar code system that allows us to instantly find where a customer's parts are in the process.

The AdChem, Inc. History

We began in 1986 as a source of repackaged "Ad"hesives and "Chem"icals for the Aerospace Industries. Over the years we sought to fulfill the expanding requirements of our clients.

We delved into manufacturing when Pratt & Whitney asked if we would expand the use of our clean rooms beyond repackaging to to process the application of silicones, polyurethanes and related items.

Over the years as our manufacturing capabilities grew, we added physical and chemical testing and were qualified by Pratt & Whitney Materials Control Lab as Laboratory Controlled at Source (LCS).

Since we acquired the equipment and technology to compound, mold, bond and test rubber it's become one of our core competencies.

Finally we added metal forming and processing technology to our capaiblities so we would no longer need to use metal parts from other suppliers.

In 2004 we added water jet cutting technology and again increased our manufacturing capabilities.

We now have in-house capabilities to manufacture and assemble vane assemblies for the JT8D-200, PW2000, PW4090 and PW6000. We are in the process of including the JT9D and PW4084 platforms which will round up the entire Pratt & Whitney commercial engine program.
